The large-scale exhibition is organised by the Egg Decorators' Association to mark the inscription of egg decoration on the National Register of Intellectual Cultural Heritage. Hundreds of eggs by more than 40 egg-decorators are on display at this exhibition which serves as a spring fling. The egg is a symbol in itself: a symbol of rebirth and fertility. And the decoration on them, the sample variant, carries a special message. The tradition, once handed down from mother to daughter, is reflected in the works of folk artisans, Young Masters of Folk Art and Masters of Folk Art. The souvenir given in exchange for sprinkling on Easter Monday is now not only a reward for consumption, but also an artisan product with artistic values. The representative exhibition of artists will highlight the history of egg decorating, the technical aspects of egg decorating, the work of today's traditional communities and the possibilities of education.
